Submit a Laser Etching / Cutting Request

We offer precision laser cutting and etching services using our studio laser systems:

  • Wecreat Lumos
  • Snapmaker Artisan
  • Glowforge Pro
  • xTool M1 Ultra

Pricing and Guidelines:

  • Cost: Billed based on run-time or material size, plus a flat $2.00 laser fee applied to every job whether you use studio stock or your own materials. Library staff will evaluate your vector file and provide a firm cost estimate before processing.
  • Materials: Patrons can bring approved safe materials (e.g., laser-safe plywood, acrylic, cardboard, leather) or check what stock is available on-site (view our material pricing guide here). *Note: PVC and vinyl are strictly prohibited.*
  • File Requirements: Vector files preferred (SVG, DXF, AI, PDF) or high-res raster files (PNG, JPG) strictly for surface raster etching.
  • Content: Jobs will be completed at staff discretion. The library will not etch/cut illegal, obscene, or dangerous items.
  • Job Limits: Please submit one job request at a time.

Job Completion:

  • Turnaround Time: We cannot guarantee specific completion dates. Jobs are processed in the order they are received.
  • Pickup and Payment: Completed jobs can be picked up at the 2CF Studio. Payment is accepted by cash or check (cash preferred). We'll contact you with further details after your job is finished.
