🌌🌙🌍 More BIG changes coming to WTML! Read all the details below!
WTML (along with all 30 libraries within the LCI library system) is getting ready to launch a whole new online catalog experience and we can’t wait to share it with you! This change will lead to better service, improved features, and a more user-friendly app.
Like any launch, we’ll need some time to get everything ready for the big switch.
Here’s our anticipated timeline so you can plan ahead:
🚀 May 12 – Last chance to place system holds in our old Encore system before the switch (you’ll still be able to place holds on Glastonbury items)
🚀 May 26 – June 2:
⭐ Checkouts will be available at service desks only (self-check machines will be down during this time).
⭐ New holds will be paused during this period, but you`ll still be able to pick up items you`ve placed on hold before May 26.
⭐ We will not be making new library cards during this time.
⭐ Our online catalog will be semi-operational during this time - call to confirm items are available before visiting the library.
⭐ There may be a delay in processing new May releases.
⭐ Help us with the changeover by keeping your checked-out materials home during this timeframe - we won`t be able to check the items back in until after launch!
🚀 June 3 – The library will be CLOSED for system updates.
🚀 June 4 – We’ll reopen with our brand-new catalog system, Vega Discover!
🚀 Later in June – We’ll introduce our new LCI App with better searching and many new features.
The WTML team has had months of training and preparation to ensure everything goes smoothly, but we will be learning the finer details of this new system alongside you and we expect some “bumps” in the process as we change over.
Thank you for your patience and support as we improve your library experience!
