Award-winning local landscape photographer Kevin Savage will present Glastonbury: Seasons of Change, a new collection of photographs celebrating the beauty, character, and changing landscapes of his hometown, at Welles-Turner Memorial Library from November 1 through December 27, 2026. 

An Artist Reception will take place Wednesday, November 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the library. The public is invited to attend, meet the artist, and view the exhibit. 

The collection highlights the vast and varied landscapes of Glastonbury, from working farmland, historic barns, and open fields to wooded trails, waterways, and familiar local landmarks. From the warm light of harvest season to the quiet beauty of winter, the exhibit explores how the same places can take on an entirely different personality as the seasons unfold. 

The exhibit includes images of local favorites such as Horton Farm, The Old Cider Mill, Gutt Family Farm, Cotton Hollow, Riverfront Park, and other scenic locations throughout town, places that are both familiar and continually changing. 

“Glastonbury: Seasons of Change is about slowing down and seeing the places around us in a different way,” says Savage. “These are landscapes that many of us drive past or visit regularly, but the light, weather, and changing seasons can transform them. My goal is to capture those moments and preserve a sense of place.” 

Savage is an award-winning photographer based in Glastonbury who started out by taking pictures as a hobby while hiking local trails and running along the Connecticut River. His photography focuses on New England landscape scenes and is inspired by the local farmland in his hometown. 

A nature lover at heart, Savage enjoys time exploring the great outdoors. His work features scenes from Vermont, New Hampshire, Cape Cod, Rhode Island, the southern coast of Maine, and the Connecticut shoreline. With over 10,000 followers across social media, his images have been viewed around the country and featured on several photography hubs. His photographs have appeared on the cover of Glastonbury Lifestyle magazine and the Wethersfield Town Guide, as well as featured online by Yankee Magazine.

Locally, Savage has shown several collections and had prints displayed at So G. Coffee, Birch Hill Tavern, Thread by Thread Boutique, Daybreak Coffee, and JW Frame Crafters. In 2025, his photograph Tree in Winter Solitude took second place for Best in Show at the Glastonbury Arts “On the Green” Member Exhibit. In recent years, his annual Glastonbury photo calendar has become a popular holiday gift among local residents.

This fall, Savage will celebrate the five-year anniversary of Kevin Savage Photography, marking an exciting milestone in his journey as a photographic artist.
