NEW LIBRARY CATALOG COMING SOON!

We’re excited to share that we’re migrating to a new catalog! This change will come with lots of upgrades to how you search for materials and manage your library account.

As always, if you have a question or need assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us.

  • Renewals Paused. Items cannot be renewed at this time, but all due dates have been extended until after the launch.
  • Holds Transit Paused. Holds are not currently traveling between libraries. The good news? Your WTML card can be used at any public library in CT, and holds on other libraries’ items may be picked up at the library where the item is located.
  • No Library App Access. Account access through the library app is temporarily unavailable, but you can still use the app to display your library card.
  • Extended Due Dates. No items will be due between May 18 and June 9, so you can enjoy your materials a little longer.
  • Card Expirations Paused. No library cards will expire during this period, so your access will remain uninterrupted.

Between Tuesday, May 26 and Tuesday, June 2:

  • Library Card Required. Please bring your physical library card (or a digital version of the barcode) with you to check out materials.
  • Self-checkout Machines Unavailable. Staff will be available at each service desk to help with checkouts.
  • Online Account Access Unavailable. Placing holds, renewing items, and viewing your account through the library website will be temporarily unavailable.
  • Library Card Updates Paused. We will be unable to create new library card accounts or make updates to existing accounts during this time.
  • Catalog Inaccuracies. The library catalog will still be available for browsing, but item statuses may become less accurate as materials continue to be checked out during the system downtime. Please contact library staff to confirm an item is available before visiting.
  • Digital Resources Available! Access to digital services including Libby, Flipster, Kanopy, Hoopla, and Mango Languages should not be affected and can be used as usual.

Welles-Turner Memorial Library is CLOSED on Wednesday, June 3.

  • You will still have full access to digital resources.
  • Library staff will be working that day to complete the launch, but will not be available to the public.
AFTER LAUNCH

June 4 & Beyond!

  • Patron Account access will be restored – You will need to create a new password for your first login to the new online catalog.
  • The new LCI Mobile App will be available for you to download from the Apple/Google Play stores.
  • ILL (Inter-Library Loans) and holds will resume as normal. Please speak with a Library staff member if you need to change a pickup location.

 

Our team has had training to ensure everything goes smoothly, but we will be learning the finer details of this new system alongside you and we expect some “bumps” in the process as we change over.
